PLEASE HELPI picked these shackles/cuffs up at an action. I have no idea how old they are, if they are real deal or their worth. I am individual who just likes to collect things and find out the history. The only markings I see is the I graced "J 133" and also the same on the key. I think you have reproduction screw-key shackles / handcuffs. Its hard to tell from the photo, since its just a big pile. I would need to see details on the chain and would need to know if there are any markers marks on the cuffs themselves. Reproduction cuffs sell for under $50 dollars. Here's a page detailing what to look for if reproduction is suspected: http://www.realorrepro.com/article/New-handcuffs-leg-irons-slave-shackles |

porcelain tea cup and saucerSubmitted by: SENIDA |
PLEASE HELPI have a cup and saucer by SONSCO, a Japanese Tea set Company. I search their site, which was next to impossible to find, but could not find the particular cup and saucer. Both are so unique in that the have such an ENGLISH (BRITISH) flavor, or German. They are trimmed, have Maroon donut center with gold leaf etching and the indented painting of a young couple in enchanted encounter on a white back round circled by a gold etching as well. The handle- rim and trim of the cup are as esquesit as the saucer. I hope I hsven't confuse you. My printer is currently out of order and I hope this will get a little help. Porcelain DollSubmitted by: Caroline |
PLEASE HELP17"-18" high porcelain doll and wicker pram. The only maker's mark on the doll is an "8" at the base of her neck. She's in good condition, with the exception of a missing right foot (the knit "socks" hide this). Her arms, head and legs are porcelain and her body is fabric stuffed with sawdust (?). She has her original bonnet (brown velvet, lace and black satin) but her dress is obviously not original, though is very well stitched, with pin pleats, tucks, etc. The pram is wicker, with muslin (?) lining and lace umbrella. In working condition, though fragile. The doll came into our possession with the pram, but they are obviously not an original pairing, as the doll is a "lady", not a "baby" doll. Hi Bob, Very cool world's fair collectible! I've never seen one either and there are a lot of gas station collectors, so it works for both world's fair and gas station memorabilia. Plus your jug is great shape! I would estimate the value of your world's fair jug / thermos to be in the $25-75 dollar range. |

Chinese antique dragon chairSubmitted by: Lisa |
PLEASE HELPHi, I found this antique chair in a Malibu storage unit almost 10 years ago. The owner of the unit had went to prison for drug charges, and was very wealthy. I'm not at all sure how old this chair is, but a friend who has a little more knowledge has said he believes the eyes to be real ivory, and thinks there is a good chance this chair could be from the Qing Dynasty era. There are some definite signs of wear, and looks like someone may have added nails or screws under the seat where you can see it was slightly coming apart. Any information on this chair would be great, and an idea if it could even be worth anything at all. I was told to look for soft edges, there definitely are no crisp edges on this chair anywhere. Hi Miranda, Your Lego Cow jumping over the moon penny bank is valued between $5 to $25 if it were not missing the ear. I'm not sure you would be able to sale it in the condition it is in. Lego pieces were produced in Japan and imported by the Lego Import company. Lego is an acronym for the companies president Leo Goldman who was based in New York. They were known for their distribution of bar ware and also their figurines. Does your have a stamp 1960? If so, that is when it was produced. |
