security steel equipment corp. Avenel, N.J. tanker desk with pontoon legsSubmitted by: Timothy |
|
PLEASE HELPI have looked high and low for any information about this desk I have been given. I've found only one other photo of vintage filing cabinets that appear to have this same nameplate, but the image is blurry and I can't magnify it. I know Security steel equipment corp. goes way back to the early 1900's and has merged with other companies, been bought out, filed bankruptcy.....constantly changing, or evolving so to speak. Any idea of what it might be worth. Why can't I find other photos of the same, or similiar and more photos of nameplate. Please help. Submit your estimate of worth |

Hi Garry, Your German Made Musical Jewelry Box is estimated between $110 to $170. Not sure if yours is bronze but it looks to be, so that is what I based my search on. These are usually referred to as Jewelry Casket's and were made in the early 1900's I have seen them go for a little as $60 but they did not have the key and not as much detail as yours. I do not know if yours is a Erhard & Sohne Below is one that sold at auction for $152.16. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Wonderful-Victorian-Erhard-and-Sohne-Solid-Bronze-Casket-NO-RESERVE-/131600396799?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=yeqwuqwNMg%252BhWsnPurpFA9MlrfY%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc Thanks, |

Hi, Your Linen Chest is estimated between $100 to $150. Maybe even more to the right buyer. Most linen chest I've seen at auction bring on average around $45. Yours has a lot of detail and the claw feet are a nice touch. I might try getting it professional cleaned before selling. Below are a few examples: http://www.antiquesnavigator.com/d-1004206/l394-antique-art-deco-neoclassical-blanket-linen-chest--box-cedar-lined.html http://www.antiquesnavigator.com/d-1256099/antique-handcrafted-wooden-chest-cast-iron-handles-folk-art-tool-chest-latched.html Thanks, |

Theodore Roosevelt china bullSubmitted by: Donna |
|
PLEASE HELPBull figurine/creamer, nice detail, brown in colour, approx. 6 " in length, 3 1/2 " tall. Has stamped picture of steamship on side of bull. And underneath picture it reads: Steamship Theodore Roosevelt entering the harbor, Michigan City, Indiania. This piece is in very good condition and could have been used as a small creamer because there is a opening on top of bull and the tail curls around to form a handle, as well the mouth is open which provides a spout for pouring cream. I can find no information about it. No markings on bottom. Age? I am thinking it may be from the 1920's - late 1930's, but I'm not sure. A piece of political memorabilia..if anyone can help me, I would appreciate any information. Thank You Submit your estimate of worth |
Series of Descouritz.Oiseaux billions de BresilSubmitted by: Cheri |
|
PLEASE HELPI have to incomplete series of Jean Theodore Descourtilz bird prints. In the color prints I have ( and these say litho on them) numbers #11,21,27,35,39,43,45,59. I also have a large number of his B&W, numbers 4,8,10,12,14,16,18,20,22,24,26,28,32,34,36,38,40,42,44,46,48,50,52,54,56,58. ( will include a couple of pictures) They are in good condition and I don't know their value or worth. I have had them for well over 12 years, bought a storage unit and apparently the lady who past away was an antique dealer, mainly paper, ads etc. I don't know anymore about these litho's but feel like they may be of value?! Thank you for any help you can give me. Submit your estimate of worth |

Estimated Value submitted by Becky |
|
Hi Cheri, Prints by Jean Theodore Descourtilz can range from $30 to $455 depending on who prints them. The first edition was published by Waterlow and Sons for Thomas Reeve in London between 1852 and 1856. The first edition prints range from $200 to $455. You need to find out where and when these were printed. They are still being printed. Below is a link where a person can still buy them. On average they run $134 each https://www.heritage-prints.com/descourtilz-45-jacamar-dore Thanks, |

PLEASE HELPMy Uncle brought these two swords back from the Pacific during WWII. Anyone know anything about them, or possible value? Thank you for any assistance. Submit your estimate of worth |
|
Estimated Value submitted by Becky |
|
Hi Tisip, Your Samurai Swords WWII can bring anywhere from $9 to well over $5000. The more information you have on the ones in your possession will determine the value. I have seen them go for a high as $6,600.00. If you can prove it is an original not a reproduction and has low matching serial numbers. If you are going to sell them at auction put a minimum bid on them. Below is a link to some of the swords that have been sold at auction: https://www.antiquesnavigator.com/index.php?main_page=documents&content=search&s=Samurai&c=&Search=Submit Thanks, |

PLEASE HELPI inherited this depression glass but don't have anywhere to keep it. I tried searching online, but am having trouble figuring out what it might be worth. Am definitely interested in selling it. Thanks! Submit your estimate of worth |

Estimated Value submitted by Becky |
|
Hi Jen, Your Depression Glass Collection is estimated between $30 to $80 maybe a little more if sold as a set. The shoes bring anywhere from $3.50 to $10 each. The top hat toothpick holders bring $.99 to $6.00 each. The same for the trinket box and candy dish. I can't really tell by the picture but all your pieces look to be hobnail glass. The Fenton Hobnail pattern came out in the 1940's and is still made today. If you have any papers that verify how old it is you could get a lot more. Check out this link for Depression Glass Price Guide: https://www.antiquesnavigator.com/antiques-price-guide/depression-glass-price-guide.html Thanks, |

Hi Aimee, Your butter dish is estimated between $10 to $40. You are missing pieces and that will affect the price. I don't believe your dish was made by The Larkin House company established 1875 which was mainly a soap company which in later years did produce perfumes, spices, coffee, peanut butter, furniture and china. In the 1890's they started inserting what they called premiums in the packages of soap. This was done to get the customers to by more soap. I can't make out the manufacturer of the dish it seems to be scratched up.This dish may have been given to customers or even used in the Larkin House company.
